Scarlet LG LCD TV - 42LG6000
This superb LG 42LG6000 42 inch TV new for 2008, is one of LGs latest editions of the recently launched LG Scarlet Series its proud range of HD Ready LG LCD Televisions.
It has a resolution of 1366 x 768 and contrast ratio of 50,000:1.
It uses its well regarded XD Engine system and includes Intelligent sensor technology and brings together six technologies delivering superb picture and sound quality.
The newly marketed LG 42LG6000 is already deemed a bit special - not least because its entire rear panel is adorned uncompromising red to represent this magnificent LG Scarlet 6000 Range.
The impressive red back of the this LG LCD Television can be showcased in any home thanks to its swivel stand so that you can leave the TV artfully angled.
It's not just the Scarlet behind that makes this exceptional Flat Panel 42 inch Widescreen TV stand out from the crowd, but it's also the remarkable slimness of the whole television itself. At it's deepest point it stick out only a mere 80mm, making the Scarlet series upto 2cm slimmer than most of its rivals.
The LG Scarlet 42LG6000 has also incorporated a bezel that stretches down an unusual distance below the screen, dramatically going against the grain of ever-more-slender bezels. Thanks to the rather gorgeous sheer, polished finish of this extended undercarriage, though, and it certainly does justice to this cracking 42LG6000.
Bearing just these points in mind it's hardly surprising that the LG Scarlet TV sets won an ‘Innovations' award at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in the States.
AV Mode
Aswell as being able to cater for Gamers, as this Tv set has a Games Mode, the 6000 Range does also have different AV modes for further optimisation in genres such as movies and Sports.
Once the mode has been selected if a film is being watched imaage quality enhancing processes take place to enhance viewing. If a sport is being watched the colours are made all the more vivid and the picture is optimised further ball fast movement, such as a football being kicked or players running around.
Invisible Speakers
Putting the design aside for one minute on the Scarlet 6000s series there is still plenty more to mention. One thing you may notice with the 42LG6000 is you'll not be able to see any Visible Speakers> this is due to teh fact LG has designed the Flat Panel TV so that the sleek bezel works as a speaker, in strategic spots around the TV frame.

Tru Motion
TruMotion reduces blurring on fast moving scenes by displaying one hundred images per second. Most standard Tv sets only display about half of this amount.
This technology reduces the perceived response time and the picture dragging (‘smearing’) phenomenon, providing life like details even in fast moving scenes.
As LG uses S-IPS panels which offer increased screen quality, TruMotion helps to improve things further,resulting in picture quality that is better than TVs based on VA panels.
Intelligent Sensor
Lg came up with the Intelligent Sensor technology as LCD Television Sets usually have brighter screens therefore can make your eyes feel more tired, especially when watching TV at night or over long periods of time.
Colours on the widescreen can appear distorted by a change of colour temperature.
What the Intelligent Sensor technology does is optimises the picture quality on response of analysing the colour temperature of the surrounding area. It tweaks the brightness,contrast, colour, sharpness, and white balance reducing unwanted brightness.
This technology can protect against eyestrain and reduces power consumption up to a maximum of 62%
